Notebooks
Writing, painting, drawing in and making notebooks is and has been a large part of my art practice for my entire life. Not only do I create pieces inside the pages of notebooks, but I also make books by hand, sewing the binding with the ancient coptic binding technique. I learned this process from Paulus Berensohn and my incredible teacher Joy Seidler. I began creating large scale sumo books that I sew by hand and make from start to finish, to serve as portable studios for my work and mind.
